Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 6 September 2026

1. Who we are

These terms govern your use of kdplasteringrenderingservices.co.uk and any contract you enter into with KD Plastering & Rendering Services for plastering, rendering or external wall insulation works. KD Plastering & Rendering Services is based at 8 Roman Way, Hanham, Bristol BS15 3FH.

2. Quotes

All quotes are free and provided in writing following a site visit. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. A quote becomes a contract once you confirm acceptance in writing (email is fine) and we confirm a start date.

3. Pricing and payment

Prices are fixed for the scope described in the quote. Variations must be agreed in writing before additional work is carried out. Payment terms:

  • Jobs under £1,000: due on completion
  • Jobs over £1,000: 30% deposit on booking, balance on completion
  • Larger projects (typically EWI): staged payments as agreed in your contract

We accept bank transfer, debit card and cheque. We do not accept cash for any amount over £500.

4. Insurance and warranty

We carry £10m public liability insurance. All render and EWI installations come with a 10-year workmanship warranty as standard. Manufacturer system warranties (typically 25 years for silicone and EWI) apply where installations meet the manufacturer’s specification — your quote will state which.

5. Cancellations

You may cancel a booked job up to 7 working days before the agreed start date without charge. Cancellations within 7 working days may incur a charge to cover committed materials and scaffold costs. We will always try to be reasonable — talk to us first.

6. Access and site

You agree to provide reasonable access to the property during working hours (typically 8am–5pm, Mon–Fri). You are responsible for clearing the work area of personal items, vehicles and pets before our arrival. We will confirm any specific access requirements at quote stage.

7. Planning and building regulations

For most Bristol and Bath homes, rendering and EWI are permitted development and do not need planning permission. Exceptions include listed buildings, properties in conservation areas, and some post-2020 new-builds. We will advise at the site visit. EWI installations do not require Building Regulations approval but should comply with PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 for any grant-funded work.

8. Subcontracting

We sometimes use trusted subcontractors for scaffold, rendering spraying, or specialist heritage work. All subcontractors are vetted, insured and work to our specifications. We remain your point of contact throughout.

9. Complaints

If something goes wrong, please call us first — most issues are resolved on the same day. If we can’t resolve it, we’ll put it in writing with a clear plan to put it right. We are Checkatrade members, and Checkatrade’s dispute resolution service is available to you.

10. Intellectual property

The KD Plastering & Rendering Services name, logo and website content are owned by us. You may not copy or reproduce them without permission.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you in respect of any contract is limited to the contract value. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

13. Contact
