Eastville's Victorian terraces take monocouche well — solid brickwork, no movement, easy to get a clean scraped finish. We've done multiple terrace runs here where three or four neighbours have specified the same K Rend colour to match.

Monocouche is a through-colour mineral render — limestone aggregate, Portland cement, pigments, and additives — applied in a single 12-18mm coat and then scraped back to expose the aggregate for a textured finish. The colour goes all the way through, so unlike paint there's no top coat to maintain. Monocouche is harder-wearing than silicone (more impact-resistant, great for parking areas and alleyways), cheaper, and gives a contemporary scraped or dragged finish that's popular on modern Bristol homes. Eastville is one of the more diverse east Bristol suburbs — the housing mixes Victorian and Edwardian terraces on the older streets with newer flats around Eastville Park and the Frome Valley. The M32 runs along its southern edge, which makes access easy for our vehicles but also means some homes are exposed to more traffic pollution. We work on whole streets here, often coordinating across multiple properties. The Eastville Park area has a growing number of newer flats and apartments that occasionally need sympathetic render repairs.
