Fishponds has several streets of 1960s-70s homes with original pebbledash that needs removing before any re-render. The pebble's heavy and the underlying sand-and-cement is often compromised — full mechanical strip, debris removal in a grab lorry, then a clean render system.

External wall rendering is the catch-all term for any render applied to the outside of a property. Whether you need a single elevation repaired, a complete re-render, or a specific system for a particular substrate, we cover it. Our most-requested work in Bristol is full re-rendering of 1930s-1980s properties where the original sand-and-cement or pebbledash has failed. But we also do smaller jobs — a single elevation that's taken the worst of the weather, a porch or extension that needs bringing in line, or a commercial unit that needs refreshing. Every quote is fixed and written, every project carries a 10-year warranty, and we own our own scaffold to keep your costs down.

Fishponds is a long suburb running along the Frome Valley between Eastville and Downend. The western end (closer to the city centre) has the older 1930s semis on streets like Stapleton Road and the Frome Valley Road, while the eastern end has the larger post-war council estates — particularly the estates around the old Stapleton Road hospital and the new-build infill. Many of the council properties were re-rendered in the 1990s with acrylic systems that are now failing. We work on a lot of these — typically strip and re-render with a BBA-approved silicone system.
