Kyran was very professional and easy to communicate with throughout the process. He did a great job with the garage render, delivering exactly what I was looking for. I'd happily recommend him and would work with him again.

Monocouche Rendering in
Kingswood
Kingswood borders Bristol to the east and is one of the larger South Gloucestershire residential areas. The housing stock is dominated by 1930s semi-detached homes on streets radiating out from the high street, with newer detached infill on the edges.

- 10-year warranty
Kingswood's 1930s semis have solid brickwork that takes monocouche well — no movement, no awkward substrates. The 14-16mm scraped monocouche is a faster install than silicone (one coat vs base plus top coat), and we usually recommend it here unless the customer specifically wants silicone's self-cleaning finish.
Monocouche is a through-colour mineral render — limestone aggregate, Portland cement, pigments, and additives — applied in a single 12-18mm coat and then scraped back to expose the aggregate for a textured finish. The colour goes all the way through, so unlike paint there's no top coat to maintain. Monocouche is harder-wearing than silicone (more impact-resistant, great for parking areas and alleyways), cheaper, and gives a contemporary scraped or dragged finish that's popular on modern Bristol homes. We install Weber, K Rend and Parex monocouche across Bristol. Every install carries a 25-year manufacturer warranty and a fixed written quote after a free site visit.
Kingswood is technically in South Gloucestershire but functions as a Bristol suburb. The high street is one of the longest local high streets in the Bristol area, and the residential streets radiating out from it are where most of our work happens. The 1930s semis are the dominant property type — larger and more imposing than Hanham's, often with bay windows, multiple chimney stacks, and original sand-and-cement render that's now well past its sell-by date. The newer estates on the edges (around Soundwell, Staple Hill and the Cadbury Heath border) have 1960s-80s detached and semi-detached, with pebbledash that needs stripping. We render roughly 15-20 Kingswood properties a year.

What Bristol & Bath customers say
Verified reviews from recent work.
Great finish on our front rendering. Despite poor weather, work was arranged the quickest possible and finished in a reasonable period - would recommend. Other companies did not quote in person or follow up - well done Kyran and co!
Kyran organised his team well and got me pencilled in with my emergency repair the same day I asked. Professionally done and helped educate me on the next steps in decorating.
