Whitehall has a mix of 1930s semi-detached and 1960s maisonettes, with different substrate challenges. The 1930s semis carry failed sand-and-cement; the maisonettes need strip-back of failed acrylic and full mesh reinforcement for stability.

Whitehall is the inner-east Bristol suburb that sits between St George and Speedwell — close enough to the city centre to be a popular commuter area, far enough east to have the working-class character of east Bristol.
