External wall rendering is the catch-all term for any render applied to the outside of a property. Whether you need a single elevation repaired, a complete re-render, or a specific system for a particular substrate, we cover it. Our most-requested work in Bristol is full re-rendering of 1930s-1980s properties where the original sand-and-cement or pebbledash has failed. Redland sits between Clifton and Bishopston, and the housing is overwhelmingly late-Victorian and Edwardian: bay-fronted terraces on the streets off Redland Road, larger semi-detached and detached villas towards Redland Green, and a high proportion of houses subdivided into flats. That subdivision shapes the work. A great deal of what we are called to is internal and often urgent — a leak through a landing ceiling, a re-skim after rewiring, making good after a conversion — rather than full-property external rendering. Where external work does come up it tends to be rear elevations and returns, which on these houses are frequently rendered while the front is left as facing brick or stone.
